These terms explain the deal between you and Helu. We have kept them short and in plain words, because that is what Helu is about.
Who we are. Helu is a mobile app made by HELUHEALTH LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17326606 ("Helu", "we", "us"). By using Helu, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
01 What Helu is
Helu helps you understand health information in your own language. You can photograph a medicine, a food, or a letter, and Helu gives you a short, plain-language explanation. Helu also offers travel-health guidance, simple daily health habits, and signposting to support services.
02 What Helu is not
Helu explains information to help you understand it. It does not tell you what to do about your health. The explanations are generated automatically and may not always be complete or correct, so please use your own judgement and professional advice.
03 Who can use Helu
You must be 18 or over to use Helu. By using the app, you confirm that you are.
04 Your account
You sign in with your email, using a link or a code. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone who can read your email can sign in to your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.
05 Using Helu fairly
Please use Helu only for its intended purpose: understanding your own health information. Do not try to break, overload, copy, or misuse the app or its systems, and do not use it to harm others or break the law. We may limit or end access for anyone who does.
06 Free to use
Helu is currently free. There are no payments, subscriptions, or adverts. If this ever changes, we will tell you clearly before it affects you.
07 Your privacy
How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: we collect as little as possible, your scans are not kept on our servers, and we never sell your data.
08 Things we cannot promise
We work hard to keep Helu accurate, available, and secure, but we provide it "as is". We cannot promise it will always be available, error-free, or suitable for every situation. Because Helu is not medical advice, we are not responsible for health decisions you make. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that arise from using the app, and nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence).
09 Changes to Helu and these terms
We may update the app and these terms as Helu grows. If we make an important change to these terms, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Helu after a change means you accept the updated terms.
10 Ending your use
You can stop using Helu and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or if we have to for legal or safety reasons.
11 Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
